Essential Requirements

Educational Qualification
To apply for the General Manager – Supply Chain Management position, candidates must meet the following criteria:

• Undergraduate degree (NQF Level 7) in Finance or Supply Chain Management (SAQA recognized).
• Postgraduate qualification (NQF Level 8) (preferred).
• Senior Management Service (SMS) Pre-entry Programme (Nyukela) certification.
• Computer literacy & valid driver’s license required.

Experience Required

Candidates must possess:

• At least five (5) years of relevant experience at a Senior Managerial Level in Supply Chain Management.
• Experience in strategic planning, procurement, and financial management.
• Age Criteria
• No particular age has been specified, but the candidates need to meet the qualifications and experience criteria.

Skills Required

Candidates should possess the following skills and knowledge to succeed in this position:

• Supply Chain & Financial Management experience, Strategic Planning & Leadership skills, Policy Analysis & Development experience, Change & People Management skills, Knowledge of Regulations, Public Finance Management Act (PFMA), Supply Chain Management (SCM) Regulations, Preferential Procurement Policy Framework Act (PPPFA), Broad-Based Black Economic Empowerment (BBBEE) Act, National Treasury instructions.

Key Responsibilities

The General Manager – Supply Chain Management will be accountable for:

• Developing & implementing Supply Chain Management policies for SASSA.
• Managing procurement, logistics, and inventory control functions.
• Compliance with financial & procurement laws in line with government policies.
• Managing regional SCM operations in nine offices countrywide.
