Steph Curry’s ‘Insane’ Tunnel Shot Goes Viral – Watch the Incredible Clips!

Golden State Warriors shooting guard Steph Curry hit an “insane” shot from the tunnel that was so accurate that social media commentators believed it to be Photoshopped with the help of artificial intelligence (AI).

The NBA star hit the shot following the game against the Atlanta Hawks on Saturday.

Why It Matters

A four-time National Basketball Association (NBA) champion and two-time MVP, including the league’s first-ever unanimous MVP in 2016, Curry has broken records and revolutionized the game by establishing the 3-point shot as the centerpiece of contemporary offense. He is regarded by many as the greatest shooter in history.

What To Know

Following the game against the Hawks on Saturday, Curry made the shot while walking towards the tunnel upon greeting fans. Curry himself believed it only went into the net, but clips of the shot that were later shared on X, previously Twitter, showed the ball actually went in.

One of the clips of the shot, which got more than half a million views on its very first day and was shared by Overtime, captured people’s reactions in shock as Curry came back into the tunnel.

“Steph Curry makes CRAZY shot look EASY!” the account of Daily Loud X wrote in another post that has accumulated more than 2.2 million views to date.

The shot was so excellent that most thought it was fake, with most of the comments on the X videos labeling it as AI-made.

This season so far, Curry is averaging 24.1 points, 4.3 rebounds, and six assists per game. He is also averaging 44.7 percent from the field and 39.4 percent from outside the 3-point line. The Warriors have won nine of their last 10 games.

Yet Curry recently took a tough tumble against the Toronto Raptors, suffering a hip injury that necessitated an MRI scan. Golden State coach Steve Kerr has indicated Curry has tried to play through it, but that he is still resting until medics are sure there is no risk of serious damage.
